View Local Group Members

Are you looking for a GUI (Graphic user Interface) tool to display the list of members added in local groups i.e Administrators, Remote Desktop Users etc… you can extract all the members details remotely with this utility. you don’t need to install this application, just download it and run the application

Here is a tool to list all members of local groups which can be use for different purposes i.e to compare two computers group members or to validate the same on a list of computers.

Step 1. Create a file having computers name or IP addresses and save it somewhere on your desktop.

Load_Computer_ListStep 2. Open this utility and click on load computer list, this will ask for a file location which you have created on your desktop in step no.1

Step 3. All computers shall be listed after reading from file, Make sure all computers are listed properly.


Running_Status
A status can be seen in the group, Count which shows total number of computers listed, Processed shows how many computers have been completed and Running shows the current computer from where the information is collecting.

Remote_AccessStep 4. if you are running this tool from domain admin account then you don’t need to put remote credentials, This only required when your current login credentials are different than the remote computer credentials.

Start_Collecting_dataStep 5. Click on start button to collect (Roles, Features) info.

A list will be prepared with computer name,  Group Name/User Name as shown in below figure, you may sort this list by just clicking on the header name.GroupMembers

Export_CSVStep 6. Above list can be exported in CSV format in case of filtering data in excel sheet.

Note: This tool require .Net Framework at least 2.0 on the same computer.

Shutdown

Shutdown is an alternative utility to logoff/shutdown/restart your computer, it helps specially on windows 8/windows 2012 OS where shutting down a system require extra efforts, you can download and run this utility directly from the folder or can keep a shortcut in your taskbar for easy use.

Enable the .NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel require for this utility to work.

You can enable the .NET Framework 3.5 yourself through Control Panel. This option requires an Internet connection.
Press the Windows key Windows logo on your keyboard, type Windows Features, and press Enter. This brings up the Turn Windows features on or off dialog box. Alternately, open Control Panel, click on the Programs items, and then click on “Turn Windows features on or off” under Programs and Features.

Select the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box, press OK, and reboot your computer if prompted

Here is a tool to list all running process of local as well as remote computer which can be use for different purposes i.e to compare two computers process or to validate if process is running on a list of computers.

Step 1. Create a file having computers name or IP addresses and save it somewhere on your desktop.

Here is a tool to list all installed hotfix of local as well as remote computer which can be use for different purposes i.e to compare two computers patches or to validate if patch is installed in a list of computers.

Step 1. Create a file having computers name or IP addresses and save it somewhere on your desktop.

Windows Disk Inventory

It is difficult to collect Disk details of your remote computer specially if Remote computer is having disk type SAN, SAS and so on therefore We have created a tools to create windows disk inventory, you may need to put server name or ip address in servers.txt file to collect disk details of each server.

This Disk Inventory tool will collect disk data (Device Type, LUN ID) of your remote computers/Servers and then put that data in csv format file which you can further modify according to your own inventory template.

This tool doesn’t require any installation in your network, and works without any agent installed in your network.

Most of the required fields shall be collected as below.

Computer Name:

Device Type: This can be SCSI, SAS, Fiber
Status: Online/Offline or N/A (Not Available)

Create Network Inventory

Create Network Inventory – A Network Inventory Command

A command line & GUI based tool is available to create network inventory, This tool will use windows management instrumentation classes to collect data of your network computer/servers and then put that data in proper format to an excel sheet in case excel application is not installed in the system from where you are running this tool then a csv file will be created and saved automatically to the current folder.

Syntax:

Note: A servers.txt file is required in the same folder from where this tool will execute. This file should  have name or ip address of those servers whose inventory you want to create. IP Address or Name should be in separate line.

Servers.txt file should have below format.
Server1
Server2
Server3
Server4

This tool doesn’t require any installation in your network, and works without any agent installed in your network or remote server, you should have local admin access of remote servers or domain admin permission to get data of your network hardware.

Administrators and help desk staff in your company will be able to manage all your assets in Excel spread sheet.

List of Installed fonts

Installed Fonts, A Command line tool is available now to display a list of installed fonts of your local machine as well as for your remote machine with the /RS: (Remote System Name/IP) option, there are other command line switches available, which can be use for filtering the data. Output of command can be store in Text or CSV format default output will be shown to the command prompt window.

This command is useful to gather data of your local and remote machine to create a report of installed fonts in your domain network. This report contains two fields (Display Name, Font Name)

How to use: Download compressed file and extract it to folder, Run executable file from the extracted folder and give destination path to save a command. Open command prompt go to destination path  and run the command.

Switch Available:
/O: File will be saved in text format
/OC: File will be saved in CSV Format
/RS: Remote Host IP (x.x.x.x) or Remote Host Name
/N: Filter fonts by display name.
/E: Exclude fonts by name

c:\>Listfonts /e: Arial
Above command will list all installed fonts but will exclude those have keyword “arial” in the Font display name.

Installed Software, A Command line tool is available now to display a list of installed software in your local machine as well as for your remote machine with the /RS: (Remote System Name/IP) option, there are other command line switches available, which can be use for filtering the data. /RS: Remote Host IP (x.x.x.x) or Remote Host Name
/N: Filter data by specific name.
/E: Exclude text

Above command will list all installed software and exclude those have keyword “update” in the name.

List Local Users

Command line Local Users, A command is available to show a list of users created in local machine and for remote machine in the same domain network, for remote machine there is a command line switch need to use /RS: (Remote System Name / IP Address). There are other command line switches available to filter the data for example below command will extract users which are currently disabled in your local machine.
Command: Listusers /d

This command line tools is basically use to find out the local users created in your or your network machines through (Computer Management MMC / Net User command etc…). These users are not a part of Active directory users list.
Example for remote machine:  Listusers /rs:( IP Address / Name)

How to use this command: Download exe and extract it to one folder. Open command prompt and go to folder (Location) where the file has been extracted run the command to get a list of local users.

Switch Available:
/RS: Remote Host IP (x.x.x.x) or Remote Host Name
/O: File will be saved in text format
/OC: File will be saved in CSV Format
/N: Filter by name
/E: Enabled users only
/D: Disabled users only

C:\>ListUsers /n:admin /oc:c:\temp\abc.csv
Output of command contains these fields (User Name, Account Status, User SID).

Switch Available:

/RS: Remote Host IP (x.x.x.x) or Remote Host Name
/O: File will be saved in text format
/OC: File will be saved in CSV Format
/M: This switch can filter data by service mode weather service mode is Auto, Manual or disabled.
/S: This switch can filter data by state weather service state is running or stopped.
/N: This switch can filter data by service name containing some text.

C:\>Listservices /M:ma /S:r /N:svc /oc:c:\temp\abc.csv
Above command will list windows services filter by startup mode /M “Manual & Auto” whereas status /S is Running and service name /N contain word “svc” output /OC will saved in CSV file
